Cisco Certified Network Professional Wireless (CCNP Wireless) certification addresses the need for designing, implementing, and operating Cisco Wireless networks and mobility infrastructures. CCNP Wireless certification emphasizes wireless networking principles and theory. It also recognizes the expertise and technical acumen of wireless professionals who can assess and translate network business requirements into technical specifications that in turn, are incorporated into successfulinstallations.

Prerequisites :

Valid Cisco CCNA Wireless or any Cisco CCIE certification can act as a prerequisite.

Exams & Recommended Training

Four exams:
– 642-732 CUWSS (50 to 60 questions, 75 minutes),

– 642-742 IUWVN (50 to 60 questions, 90 minutes),

– 642-747 IUWMS (50 to 60 questions, 90 minutes),

– 642-737 IAUWS (50 to 60 questions, 90 minutes)

Cost per Exam : $250 USD each; $1,000 USD total

Self-Study Materials : 

The CCNP Wireless Web page provides a great list of self-study materials, including a study group, the CCNP Wireless syllabus, e-books, learning partner content and more. All exams have associated recommended training classes as well. The training classes are usually five days and range between $2,600 and $4,000.
